If, after requesting your deposit back and discussing the proposed deductions with your landlord or agent, you wish to raise a dispute you can do so with mydeposits Northern Ireland. We provide a free dispute resolution service.

How do I raise a dispute with mydeposits Insured?

If after requesting your deposit back and discussing any proposed deductions with your landlord or agent, you are unable to agree with the return of the deposit, then you can contact us on 0333 321 9403 (Monday to Friday – 08:00 to 19:00) to raise a dispute, as we are currently unable to accept disputes online.

We will send you a Dispute Notification Claim Form (DNCF) for you to complete and return with your evidence, within three months (minus one day) of you moving out of the property, or of the deposit being unprotected, whichever is the earliest.

Custodial process

How do I raise a dispute with mydeposits Custodial?

If after requesting your deposit back and discussing any proposed deductions with your landlord or agent, you are unable to agree, you may be able to raise a dispute through your online account by ‘disagreeing’ with the landlord’s or agent’s proposed release terms.

You must do this within 30 working days of the landlord’s or agent’s release request.

Providing evidence

For us to review your dispute you will need to send us all your evidence (including dispute details form, request for deposit return, tenancy agreement, and if relevant photos, check in and check out reports).
