Since the 1 April 2013 all landlords and letting agents in Northern Ireland must protect tenancy deposits with an approved scheme, such as my|deposits Northern Ireland.

Landlords and agents can protect deposits using our insurance or custodial based protection options.

We offer a free dispute resolution service to resolve deposit disputes.

Find out more about tenancy deposit protection with our scheme and how it affects you.

From 1 April 2013 your landlord or letting agent must comply with new legislation. If you pass your landlord or letting agent a deposit on a private tenancy agreement then they must protect it with a government approved scheme within 14 days. Key information about the deposit protection must be provided within 28 days.
